BriefExplanation
When you have bad breath, people identify and remember you only for your breath.
You and your bad breath are literally the same thing.
The whole radio is built on a misunderstanding coming out of this identification.
So we hear a dialogue between a policeman and a driver affected by bad breath.
That’s way the policeman doesn’t stop addressing the driver as "Mr Onion” instead of his real name.
ScriptInEnglish
Policeman: Can i see your licence, sir?
Driver: Of course. Here it is.
Policeman: Do you know you’ve exceeded the speed limit, Mr Onion?
Driver: What do you mean Mr Onion? My name is Smith…
Policeman: Oh, give me a break, Mr Onion. Rather, what fruit market do you come from?
Driver: Fruit market? I come from my house in Florence…
Policeman: Of course Mr Onion... Which variety do you belong to instead?
Driver: What are you talking about?
Policeman: I mean, pearl onions, yellow onions, Tropea onions…
Driver: I really don’t understand…
Policeman: Don’t be reticent, Mr Onion… And what about your destination? Supermarket, grocery, restaurant…
Driver: I’m just going to my grandmother’s…
Policeman: Vegetables have grandmothers? Ah ah ah, you are the first onion that makes laugh instead of cry. Will you follow me please, Mr Onion?
