CampaignDescription

- To create a fun, entertaining experience which lampoons the cult of celebrity and the race issue at the heart of the Oscars. To learn how to make a game in such a short time frame.
Execution
It's a finished HTML5 game that works in all modern browsers and requires no installation, app purchase or download.
Outcome
It has no infrastructure or ties with an app store. It received instant success for it's simplicity, satire and comedy. The Line hope it can open doors to more social commentary-style games.
It used a piece of software called Construct2, which allowed us to create the game so quickly.
The game went viral instantly, appearing on hundreds of media outlets and aggregators. It featured on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight show and brought significant attention to The Line's brand.
Relevancy
Using gaming aspect to entertain and to provide a social commentary. The game uses the HTML5 standard to deliver an experience that isn't tied to any app stores or controlled app environments, leveraging the technology of the web and the possibilities offered on the web browser.
