In NZTA’s ‘Rat’s Tale’, we follow our bonafide hero through a series of his wildest adventures and ultimately land with him at his decision not to drive home after drinking one night. The spot sets about grabbing an audience of adrenaline loving bogans by the nuts and revelling in the thrill seeker life by showing just what you might be missing out on if you drink and drive.

Working with street cast actors and shot over 3 long days, the vision for this film required an honest and uninfluenced approach to the series of vignettes. The situations were developed off the real life experiences of our Facebook cast actor, whom had zero acting experience. Authentic and raw, the film was about creating a no-holds-barred experience-fest that treated the target market with reverence and legitimacy.
