BriefExplanation

Depending on who you ask, Kobe Bryant was basketball’s greatest hero or its greatest villain. As he walks off the court for the last time and into retirement, opponents and fans tell him how they really feel via a symphony of fan hatred, with Kobe as the conductor. The conductor takes all the banter with a grin. Maybe the hatred actually fuels his desire to be the best? Love him or hate him, he gains our respect.

EntrySummary

Kobe Bryant is an American professional basketball player. He played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA championships with the Lakers. Bryant is an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. He led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, and ranks third on both the league's all-time regular season scoring and all-time postseason scoring lists. He holds the NBA record for the most seasons playing with one franchise for an entire career. In April, Kobe played his last game against the Utah Jazz and entered retirement. The spot features fans from nine different franchises of the NBA, and includes cameos from such NBA legends as Hall-of-Fame coach Phil Jackson, former world champion Paul Pierce and 10-time all-star Rasheed Wallace.
