We see two young couples playing a board-game, at one of their homes, at night. When one of the women casually suggests “do you guys wanna to do a little swap?” the other woman misinterprets the suggestion and reveals that she would, in fact, be interested in swapping romantic partners, going so far as to ask about the logistics: “would I move in with Tyler? Or is it a one-time, casual thing?”

After a moment of stunned silence from her boyfriend and the other couple, her friend informs her that she meant switching up teams in the board-game. The woman who inadvertently revealed her innermost feelings about everyone in the room is mortified, but attempts to get things back on track by asking who’s turn it is.

Her wounded boyfriend replies “Tyler’s… apparently” as the super comes up over picture “You’re UNFILTERED when you’re hungry.”

In the US, people who say things that are inappropriately honest, insensitively opinionated, or just the first thing that pops into their heads are often accused of having “no filter” from their brain to their mouth. Being “unfiltered” in this case, means that personal inner thoughts have been said aloud in public.
