BriefExplanation
SKY Television, New Zealand’s largest satellite television provider, asked us to promote the newly discounted price of their Arts Channel.
For just an added $2.95 a week, SKY subscribers could sign up and enjoy the life and work of some of history’s greatest artists.
We created a radio campaign that put into perspective the enormous price these artists paid to create their work, and the comparative pittance SKY subscribers paid to enjoy it.

ANN: After having his application to the clergy denied, Vincent Van Gogh decided to take it up with management.
He wandered out into a field, pulled a revolver from his pocket and shot himself in the chest.
The man was mad. And rightly so.His first love loved someone else. His second love was his first cousin.
And his third love was a syphilis-riddled prostitute who proved to be embarrassingly fertile.
Suffering from malnutrition and extreme paranoia, he fled to a brothel and sliced off his earlobe.Despite creating some of art’s most enduring masterpieces, he never received the respect he deserved.
And now you can carry on that fine tradition, by paying the equivalent of a small potato-top pie to enjoy every soul destroying piece of work he ever produced. The Arts Channel on SKY, just $2.95 a week.
Art, for an insultingly low price.
