This short film shows Michael, a southern hitman that gets hired to kill Norman Reedus, the actor best known as “Daryl” from The Walking Dead. Unaware of who his victim is, Michael gets the Fox Premium App in order to get a look of Norman. But something changes after watching the first episode. Michael slowly starts getting more and more involved with The Walking Dead, particularly with Norman's character. Finally, he's forced to make a decision: to finish his assignment like a professional, or to let Norman live and enjoy more seasons to come of his new favorite show.

The hitman is playing Sudoku at the dining table.

Lights go out due to an electric malfunction.

HITMAN

Ohh, shit.

The hitman lights up a flashlight and walks towards the kitchen.

He grabs an electric bill from a counter covered with bills.

The electric bill is past due.

2 INT. HITMAN’S BEDROOM - SUNRISE 2

The hitman is sitting on his bed.

He turns off the flashlight and lays down to sleep.

“WHO?”

3 EXT. HITMAN’S TRUCK - MORNING 3

The hitman leaves his home and travels to his work.

4 INT. LAUNDRY SHOP 4

The hitman is working on some laundry when he receives a call on his cell phone.

HITMAN

Yeah.

Yeah.

Okay.

Yeah, I’ll see you there.

5 INT. RESTAURANT - AFTERNOON 5

The hitman walks into the restaurant.

There’s a man sitting alone on a table next to the window

The hitman sits on the same table.

CLIENT

I need you to get rid of someone. An actor

HITMAN

Fuck!

CLIENT

Norman Reedus, from The Walking Dead.

HITMAN

The Walking Dead?

CLIENT

Yeah. The one with the zombies?

HITMAN

Never watched it. I hate zombies.

CLIENT

My wife is a zombie.

I mean, on the show. She works as an extra sometimes and she’s in love with him.

HITMAN

What makes you think that?

CLIENT

Because she is always trying to eat--

The conversation is interrupted by the waitress who brings the hitman a piece of cake

HITMAN

(Turns to the waitress)

Thanks, Martha.

The waitress leaves.

The hitman turns again towards the client.

CLIENT

(Annoyed)

She’s always trying to eat Daryl, okay?

HITMAN

Eat who?

While the client speaks, the hitman starts to eat his cake and drink a cup of coffee.

CLIENT

Reedus! She is always going after Reedus. There are slower guys, you know? But no, she goes after his arms. And his feet. It’s so fucking obvious. She’s been trying to eat him since season one.

HITMAN

(Drinking coffee)

Isn’t that part of the job?

CLIENT

Look, I don’t want to ruin her gig. I’m not THAT jealous, okay? I just want him dead.

HITMAN

I don’t judge, I’m just here for the money.

CLIENT

He’s gonna be in Mexico next week for a fan premiere. Forty grand, right?

The client takes a package from his pocket and puts it over the table.

HITMAN

It’s a celebrity.

The client takes some keys from another pocket and puts them next to the package.

CLIENT

(Pointing outside with his head)

That too.

The hitman looks outside the window and sees a parked car in poor conditions. Then he stares back at the client.

The client nods in approval, implying that’s the car.

6 EXT. CAR, ROAD - SUNSET 6

The hitman is travelling in his new car.

He stops for a second to stretch and goes on.

7 INT. CAR, ROAD - NIGHT 7

The hitman continues driving, he looks really tired. He is eating a snack while driving.

8 EXT. CAR, MEXICO - MORNING 8

The hitman arrives in Mexico and parks in front of a really cheap hostel.

9 INT. HOSTEL, MEXICO - MORNING 9

The hitman enters the room. We can tell it’s a low budget hostel because of the poor decoration.

HOTEL OWNER

(In Spanish)

A la primera cochinada, a la calle.

HITMAN

No problemo.

HOTEL OWNER

(Mocking him with disapproval)

No problema…

The hotel owner closes the room door.

10 INT. HOSTEL ROOM - MORNING 10

The hitman starts unpacking his bag.

The hitman opens his laptop and searchs for “Norman Reedus” on the internet.

The hitman enters in Fox Premium and registers.

The hitman begins to watch The Walking Dead.

There’s a scene where Rick kills a zombie.

The hitman turns his head with awful disgust.

HITMAN

Argh… What’s this shit?

11 INT. HOSTEL ROOM - MORNING 11

The hitman wakes up with the laptop playing The Walking Dead next to him, he sees Norman Reedus on the screen.

NORMAN REEDUS

(On screen. Portraying Daryl Dixon)

You are one ugly skunk!

The hitman laughs.

12 EXT. ROAD, MEXICO - AFTERNOON 12

The hitman travels from the hotel to the convention center.

13 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL ROOF - AFTERNOON 13

The hitman studies the roof and analyses how to kill Norman Reedus.

14 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL - AFTERNOON 14

The hitman is studying the convention center surroundings when he accidentally stumbles upon a guy pulling down some boxes from a truck.

The hitman notices something on the floor.

HITMAN

(While picking it up)

Hey, you dropped something bud.

The hitman stands up and realizes that the man with the box kept walking.

The hitman stares at the object he picked up and notices it’s a Norman Reedus pin.

15 INT. SUPERMARKET 15

The hitman is getting some groceries while watching The Walking Dead on his cell phone.

16 INT. HOSTEL ROOM - NIGHT 16

The hitman is having dinner while watching The Walking Dead.

17 EXT. MEXICAN SHANTY TOWN - MORNING 17

The hitman gets out of the car talking on his cell phone.

HITMAN

(On the cell phone, in Spanish)

Aquí.

18 EXT. ABANDONED SHOPPING MALL - MORNING 18

The hitman arrives in his car. There’s a truck waiting for him.

A man on crutches and a transvestite open the truck’s trunk and show him some weapons.

The hitman tries a sniper rifle and takes a glance at a crossbow on the trunk.

The hitman tries the crossbow.

HITMAN

(Putting the crossbow down)

Maybe next time.

19 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL - MORNING 19

The hitman is reading a newspaper that tells that Norman Reedus is in town.

20 INT. CONVENTION HOTEL 20

The hitman goes through the hotel halls and he notices Norman Reedus entering the toilet.

21 INT. TOILET 21

The hitman enters the toilet.

Norman Reedus is washing his hands.

HITMAN

(Taking a piss)

No walkers around?

NORMAN REEDUS

(Still washing his hands)

Nope, no walkers.

The hitman finishes pissing and goes to wash his hands.

HITMAN

(While walking past by Norman)

How many have you killed?

NORMAN REEDUS

(Surprised)

I don’t know.

HITMAN

(Starts washing his hands)

A hundred and forty-seven.

NORMAN REEDUS

You a big fan of the show?

The hitman turns around towards him and shows him the pin he collected earlier, pinned up on his jacket.

NORMAN REEDUS

(Taking a better look at the pin)

A secret fan of the show?

Norman Reedus starts to walk away.

HITMAN

You are not gonna die soon, are you?

Norman Reedus turns around and grabs a towel.

NORMAN REEDUS

What?

HITMAN

I mean, in the show.

Norman Reedus throws the towel away.

NORMAN REEDUS

Jeez. I hope not.

…

(Leaving)

Have a good day, man.

22 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL - NIGHT 22

The hitman is walking down the street when a group of The Walking Dead fans, disguised as zombies, turn around to taunt him.

The hitman turns around and realizes it was just his imagination.

23 INT. HOSTEL ROOM - NIGHT 23

The hitman is in his room watching The Walking Dead and drops a tear on a scene where Daryl Dixon cries.

24 INT. HOSTEL ROOM - SUNRISE 24

The hitman wakes up and begins prepares his rifle in underpants.

The hitman packs his things and leaves.

25 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL ROOF – MORNING 25

The hitman arrives at the roof and prepares his rifle.

26 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL STREET – MORNING 26

There’s a crowd of The Walking Dead fans disguised as zombies waiting for Norman Reedus.

27 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL ROOF – MORNING 27

The hitman lays on his belly, getting prepared to shoot.

28 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL STREET – MORNING 28

Norman Reedus arrives and all his fans cheer.

29 EXT. CONVENTION HOTEL ROOF – MORNING 29

The hitman watches as Norman Reedus gets out of the van through the sniper’s lens.

Music starts getting tense.

SFX: We hear a lot of fans screaming in joy.

The hitman places his finger on the trigger.

Through the lens, we see Norman Reedus turning around to look directly at us.

BLACK SCREEN

30 INT. RESTAURANT – AFTERNOON 30

The hitman is sitting alone on a table.

The client walks in at a high speed and sits in front of him.

CLIENT

(Angry and curious)

What happened?

HITMAN

(Angry)

Nothing happened, and you better make

sure it stays that way.

CLIENT

But we agreed—-

HITMAN

(Furious)

Shut the fuck up!

The hitman takes a package and a group of keys from his pockets.

HITMAN

Here are your keys and your money.

It’s all there. All of it.

Well, almost. I had to pay for a few extras.

CLIENT

(Screeching his teeth)

EXTRAS?

HITMAN

Yeah, look under the table.

The client quickly looks under the table.

The hitman is holding the crossbow he tried before and is pointing it towards the client’s right foot.

CLIENT

(Looking at the hitman again)

What’s that for?

HITMAN

To let your wife eat in peace.

The hitman shoots the crossbow and stands up.

HITMAN

(Menacing)

Stay away from Daryl Dixon.

The hitman leaves while the client remains sitting groaning because of the pain.

HITMAN

(Opening the door)

Waste of an arrow.
