The packaging needed to feel accessible and non-threatening, enabling women to place a vibrator in their baskets without anxiety -- and it also needed to create interest in the product inside without actually showing it.
ClientBriefOrObjective
To create a new, unique range of vibrators, from brand idea through to product and packaging design, to be sold in health and beauty departments (never in sex shops).
Implementation
The packaging employs an illustration style that is uniquely playful and seemingly innocent for the category, whilst being fairly suggestive as well. We needed to communicate the contents of the box; the nature of the product, its premium quality and ability to entertain, all without actually showing it and with no possibility of a pre-purchase inspection. It’s no small feat when you’re the first vibrators in pharmacies and no one is expecting you there.
Outcome
Our unique range of playful vibrators are now on shelf in over 10 countries around the world, and growing, and are sold globally online.
