750MPH, London / MENINGITIS / 2015
Overview
Credits
BriefExplanation
The hard-hitting film tells the real-life story of one young woman’s experience of meningitis and septicaemia, describing in detail the feelings and sensations she underwent in just a matter of hours, and revealing the full impact it had on her life.
The sound design was vital - building and heightening the sound more and more throughout, taking you on an uneasy and painful journey through each transition and finally reaching a crescendo by the films end. Due to the noise of the camera rig whilst shooting, no sound was recorded on set which meant starting from scratch and adding in numerous layers of dialogue, atmospheres and SFX to make every scene come to life.
Execution
To promote the awareness of Meningitis, the overall sound brief for this project was to make the mix as impactful and powerful as possible - leaving the viewer in no doubt as to how quickly someone could be affected by this horrific illness. This was achieved through Once approved, we then set out to create bespoke mixes for television, online and cinema platforms.
