Friendshit tells a story about a girl who hilariously tries her best to make friends at her new school with a constant help from her bestie. After many attempts have failed, her bestie’s final suggestion is to start a conversation about K PLUS, a free mobile banking application from KASIKORNBANK as it is easy to use, everybody uses it so it's relatable. Eventually, she succeeds.

It’s not in people’s nature to start a conversation with complete strangers using heavy or serious topics, especially the ones with technical terms nobody understands. Instead, we tend to start a small talk with easy topics anyone can relate.

Bus Termainal / Daytime

Hui’s friend: You never spoke to anyone.

Hui: Really?

Hui’s friend: That is why I am your only friend.

Hui: Argh!!! It is so hard to make friends. What must I dooooo?

Hui’s friend: Start by talking ... but about interesting things!

Hui, still wearing ‘ANTI SOCIAL SOCIAL KLUB’ t-shirt, walking nervously towards a group of new friends.

Hui: Hi there,

(cut to a different scene) The bus’s running and so is Hui’s friend right next to it. They’re talking through the window.

Hui’s friend: Wait...change your dress attire.

(cut to a different scene) Hui, now in school uniform, walking nervously towards a group of new friends.

Hui: Hi...I’m Hui. Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket flew into space and then it returned to earth landing at specified location just like any normal aircraft. Isn’t that so fascinating!!!

Students: What’re you talking about? The next Star Wars episode?

Switch the scene back to the bus again.

Hui’s friend: No...something simpler...

Situation 2 : Inside Rajabhat University cafeteria

Hui walking towards a group of new friends who are all eating.

Hui: Hi, I’m Hui. Speaking of food, NASA has the technology to create food in space from the faeces of the astronauts…

That group of new friends doesn’t react but stare at her with confusion.

Switch the scene back to the bus. Hui’s friend is riding a motorcycle, still talking to Hui through the window.

Hui’s friend: Come on...Simple and common stuff!!!

Situation 3 : In front of a photocopier

Hui walking towards a girl who clearly just had her whole book copied.

Hui: Hi, I’m Hui. It is basic Intellectual Property Law that photocopying the whole book is illegal.

Switch the scene back to the bus. Hui’s friend is riding the motorcycle in a prone position.

Hui’s friend: No!!! Simple and common stuff everyone knows!!

Previous situations randomly switch with Hui keeps trying to start a conversation.

Situation1: Inside Rajabhat University classroom

Hui: You know Instagram, right? Apparently, its usage generated more than 80 billion baht in 2017!

The first group of friends now look at her with even more confusion.

Situation 2: Inside Rajabhat University cafeteria

Hui: K Pop star Gong Yoo’s father was a famous baseball player his achievements are now a South Korean case study.

The second group of friends now look at her with their mouths open as if they can’t believe their ears.

Situation 3 : In front of a photocopier

Hui: Jackie Chan’s hometown has a very interesting historical background.

The girl has now turned her back to Hui.

Switch the scene back to the bus. Hui’s friend who’s still riding the motorcycle alongside the bus but with her front wheel lifted.

Hui’s friend: No...No...No...Simple and common stuff…

Zooming in Hui’s obviously confused face.

The second group of new friends start collecting their stuff, getting ready to leave.

Switch the scene back to the bus. Hui’s friend is now placing her face at the bus window.

Hui’s friend: Things anyone can relate to...Mainstream stuff!!!

Back to Hui who’s covering her face.

Hui: ...I don’t know...I can’t...

Hui’s friend: You must!!! Or you will never make friends!

Hui: Why don’t you just tell me what to say?

Hui’s friend: K PLUS App!

Hui looking shocked and confused.

Hui: Huh? As simple as that?

A handsome man: Gosh...your bill is so high. You can save quite a bit if you move in with me.

In the middle of a wide, empty road.

The bus is now gone. Hui’s friend standing alone, answering the phone.

Hui: I am calling to thank you for your advice. It has solved my dilemma in making friends.

Hui’s friend: Can you make that sound as simple as it actually is?
