This is a story of Jacob’s Creek "Double Barrel” wine, an Australian wine aged in Scottish whiskey barrels, and how it came to be.
We follow a journeyman as he travels an aged whiskey barrel across the harsh Scottish highlands, foggy moores and wild rough seas back to Australia. A tough and harrowing journey, one that balances on a knife edge of tragically falling apart.
Back home his counterpart harvests and prepares the wine, though as the months begin to drift by a sense of doom falls upon her. Just as all seems lost, our journeyman arrives at the winery, whiskey barrel in tow. And we see that it wasn’t just about the wine, but something deeper and more human, about two becoming one.
