We turned an NGO that fights against deforestation into a true artist who raises funds for a noble cause through its music album in Spotify.

First, we enter into three Argentine endangered ecosystems: Misiones jungle, Impenetrable chaqueño, and the Andean Forest in Patagonia. During two months we captured the sound of nature with strategically placed microphones.

Then specialized sound engineers mix the audios creating nine unique tracks that conform the EcoAlarm album.

In a joint venture with a record company, the album was registered and launched in Spotify. This way “Banco de Bosques” ensures to collect royalties every time a track is reproduced, like an artist.

Finally we created our station. We developed a mobile alarm clock that reproduces the protected forest`s sounds from Spotify. Every morning users, without investing a single cent, or leaving their beds are helping to raise funds to save native endangered forests.

Argentina is one of the most deforested countries in the world. It is estimated that more than 70% of native ecosystems have been lost and that 300,000 hectares of forest are logged annually, endangering the lives of hundreds of species.

“Fundación Banco de Bosques” is an NGO that leads the fight in this field, trying to avoid indiscriminate tree cutting. To achieve this, it raises funds to recover every single meter of logged native forests.

Even though there are small groups that are aware of this issue, our challenge was to obtain the commitment of the entire population towards keeping our environment healthy, and at the same time encourage them to become part of the solution in an effortless way.
