In a Drive-in Theater, people tune their car radios in a specific frequency to listen to the movie, so we aired a commercial in which our character interacted with people asking them to unlock their smartphones.

Through the radio, she sent a voice command (“Ok Google, www.testdrivein.com”) to their mobiles (opening our website) and triggered an immersive experience throughout the Fiat Toro’s interior, using gyroscope technology, while our character described the Fiat Toro’s features.

After the Test Drive-in, they could schedule a real test-drive on a click of a button.

The Test Drive-in created innovative consumer activation in an immersive experience that connected a commercial on a Drive-in Theater’s screen with their mobiles, through the radio of their cars.

We engaged people to meet the new Fiat Toro and schedule a test-drive, giving them the opportunity to compare their own cars with the Toro.

EntrySummary

Cine Drive-in, located in Brasilia-Brazil, is the last Drive-in Theater in Latin America.

People spend a lot of time inside their cars when they go to the Cine Drive-in, so it is the perfect place to create a new car experience.

To listen to the movie, people must tune their car radios in Cine Drive-in’s specific frequency (88,7 FM).

We aired a commercial on the Drive-in’s screen in which our character interacted with people asking them to unlock their smartphones.

Through the radio, she sent a voice command (“Ok Google, www.testdrivein.com”) to their mobiles and triggered an immersive experience throughout the Fiat Toro’s interior, using gyroscope technology, while our character described the Fiat Toro’s features.

Our character appears in the Cine Drive-in’s screen and says (people listen to her on their car radios, tuned in Cine Drive-in’s own frequency – 88,7 FM):

- I can tell you’re really into cars, hum?

- Even when you go to the movies, you can’t seem to leave yours.

- And since you like cars so much, I’m gonna show you something really cool.

(A Fiat Toro appears in the Drive-in’s screen)

- You must have seen one of these already on the streets

- Awesome, right?

- So… you wanna go for a test-drive right now?

- Just unlock your phone.

- Go on. I promise you won’t regret it.

- All set?

- Now.. pump up your radio volume.

- Alright… let’s go.

Through the radio of the car, our character sends a voice command to people’s smartphones, using the Google App technology “Ok Google”.

- Ok, Google.

- www.testdrivein.com

People’s smartphones open our website and they can navigate inside of the Fiat Toro, comparing it with their own cars.

- Great. Now just move your phone around and enjoy the Fiat Toro’s interior.

As people navigate throughout Toro’s interior on their smartphones, our character describes its features on the radio.

- Take a look at the display design. Incredible!

- What about the leather steering wheel with paddle shift?

- It comes with UConnect Multimedia system with Voice Command

- Did you see the 9 speeds automatic transmission?

- And the detailing? Wonderful.

- I know: now you want to take one for a spin, right?

The “Schedule Test-drive” button appears on the screens of people’s smartphones.

- It’s easy. You just have to click on this button to schedule a test-drive. - Cool, right?

Our character finishes her speech and leaves the screen.

- Ok…. Now, you enjoy your movie and I’ll call you tomorrow to set things up.

- Bye-bye.
