Throughout this film we follow a character who announces himself to the financial fat cats of a 1930s style, black and white animated world.

Although drawn in a similar style to the other characters we see, our ‘new money’ hero is deliberately more modern in both wardrobe and how he speaks.

Delivering a ‘call to arms’ monologue to camera, he takes us on a journey through the subways and streets of a typical financial city, interacting with characters who represent this era of excess, such as a diamond encrusted toilet, a walking Faberge egg and a man with a gold bar for a head.

Eventually he breaks through the more traditional fabric of this financial world, ultimately taking his seat at the boardroom table.

This commercial is to launch ‘STAKE’, an online brokerage platform that gives Australian investors access to the Wall St stock exchange for the first time.

The film is set in an animated world, reminiscent of the black & white Max Fleischer style of the 1930s. This style reflects the era of "old money", pre-crash Wall St, at the height of excess.
